    The point about a snow day is essentially this:  A mind and body should not be obliged to do anything more than stare out of a window and occasionally say "look at that!"

     Others of course can recall a childhood on the tundra's of Northern Virginia where apparently thirteen foot drifts were only a minor inconvenience.
