An English In Kentucky

December 20th 2010    Tim Candler

Last night the moon was strong in the sky.   Today and tonight there will be clouds.   Tomorrow morning, around 3am here in Kentucky, this same moon will be eclipsed by the earth's shadow, and more than likely, here in Kentucky it will be raining.  The next time the moon eclipses on the short day, a person born today will be eighty four years old.

There are options for us in Kentucky.  The nubile can get busy so that some future geriatric might have their chance to ponder the infinite.  Or we can get up early, stagger around for a while outside in raincoats, then go back to bed depressed and tearful.
