An English In Kentucky

December 9th 2010    Tim Candler

Flat battery in the one vehicle, flat tire on the other.  And eleven degrees on the porch.  The old me would have made the phone call and then returned to the covers.

His reason - a sensible man would not travel an hour and a half under these circumstances unless roast beef, money, or life was at stake.

The new me is clearly made of pioneer stuff.  Dogged and self reliant and quite determined never again to use the telephone.  Such a shame that even though I was exactly on time I mistook the actual day of the appointment.

So looking forward to the warmer weather, to Stinkbugs, to Caterpillars and that host with sense to spend these months dormant.
