An English In Kentucky

September 14th 2010    Tim Candler

Malabar Spinach and Wax Gourd.  A fresh green leaf and something that reflects the crunch of cucumber in September.   Brussels Sprouts succumbed to heat and insect.  Waiting now for frost to see what summer did to Parsnips.  And I have said it before, Viking Purple Potato has in my mind joined the ranks of hero.

I actually welcome the cooler weather this year.  And I think the secret of long dark nights, frigid temperatures, bitter winds and the possibility of crippling ice storms is a woolen hat and patience.
