An English In Kentucky

February 10th 2011    Tim Candler

The Southern Mockingbird has his eye on the Vegetable Garden already.  And I think of Heidegger's answer to the question, "what is thinking?"

My friend had a horrible fight near the Laurels.  Polite at first then down on the ground they were, clawing at each other.

If you walk the Southern Mockingbird's territory there are no berries left.  He has had to share them with Flying Squirrel and Fox Squirrel, neither of whom venture near the Close Mockingbird's territory which the Grey Cat has marked as his own.

I went out the kitchen door so the Close Mockingbird might win the fight.  Which he did, but none of us cheered the Southern Mockingbird's retreat.
